Walter A. Pavlisko, 56, of Perth Amboy, formerly of Sayreville, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, in Syosset, N.Y. He was last employed by Carrier Industries, Edison as a truck driver. He had served in the Army National Guard and was a member of the Interstate Rod & Gun Club, Hornell, N.Y., and the Single Action Shooting Society, Jackson. Born in East Orange, he lived in Sayreville most of his life before moving to Perth Amboy 15 years ago.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Hannah Pavlisko; and a sister, Diana Pavlisko. Surviving are a sister, Roberta Sawicz of Morgan; two nieces, Diane Natusch and Tabitha Sawicz; and a nephew, Clinton Sawicz.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 31 at the Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main St., South Amboy. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 1 at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
