Joseph J. Bilansky, 62. formerly of Pottsville, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, in Harrisburg Hospital.

  He was a former regional director and agent in the Bureau of Drug Control of the State Attorney's Office; a graduate ofNativity BVM High School, and attended Penn State University; was a  Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War; and a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, Swatara Twp., the Fraternal Order of Police, Deputy Sheriffs Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Marysville Sportsmen's Club, the Single Action Shooting Society, and the Perry County Regulators.

  Surviving are his wife, Judy Zacko Bilansky; two sons, Joseph Jr. of Pine Grove and John J. of Pottsville; two sisters, Ellen Wood Douvaissant of New Jersey and Helen Gallant of Cranforsd, N.J.; and a grandson.

  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.
