Mountain Time

Over here on the Western Slope

we live on Mountain Time.

What’s right is right, what’s wrong is wrong

And what’s mine is dang sure mine

Yore neighbor might not be real close

at least as distance goes.

But he’ll be right there to help you out

if you’ve got a load of woes.

The Zone’s not named for oceans

or the middle heartland either.

It’s named for snowcapped peaks

that give you climbin fever.

Our Prime Time ain’t about New York

or even Boston town.

Our Prime Time’s sittin on the porch

to watch the sun go down.
