Congressmen are sent to DC just to keep things running
But when I look at them today I think they must be funning
“They can’t be serious can they now?”, I ask myself in vain
Is there something in the water there that makes them all insane?
They’re throwing wrenches left and right like a dang cage full of monkeys
Have the Elephants all just gone nuts , not to mention all the Donkeys?
I’m fed up with their childish spats and useless, pompous speeches
They take us all for idiots, the three piece suited leeches.
I think I’ve had enough of all their partisan maneuvers
They’ll soon find that the People are the real shakers and movers
As far as all their silly dogma goes, I just refuse it
And I’m allowed a vote by law, and I’m damn sure gonna use it!
