Armed Men
An armed man is a Citizen
And a Subject if he’s not
At Lexington then certainly
A Citizen fired the shot
And Kings and tyrants throughout time
Have learned their lesson well
When armed men rose to take their rights
The evil empires fell
Yet still they try by any means
To disarm honest men
“For your own good” they’ll often say
“Let us protect your kin”
Dictators take the masses’ guns
It lets them flex their might
They’re easier to keep in line
If they have no way to fight
But countless times their plans
Have been upset by stalwart men
Who stood their ground when all around
Were close to giving in
And if by chance I too should fall
By some foul tyrant’s hand
I only pray that I die free
With my gun in my hand
