Larry Gene Icenogle, age 61 of Mattoon passed away suddenly at 2:59 P.M., on March 29, 2007 at the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Larry was born January 25, 1946 in Neoga, IL, the son of Ralph and Irene (Elrod). Icenogle. He married Patty A. Cox ,October 14, 1989 in Neoga, IL.

Survivors include his loving wife Patty A. Icenogle of Mattoon, IL; four children, Greg Icenogle and his special friend Deborah Reynolds of Mattoon, IL, Nikki Simpson and her husband Danny of Mattoon, IL, Chris Camden and his wife Lisa of Neoga, IL and Lisa Cripe and her husband Eric of Ft. Worth, TX; one sister, Doris McKay and her husband Lloyd of Neoga, IL; eight grandchildren, Kassi, Cody, Beau, Cory, Blake, Chase, Savannah and Bradley. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Icenogle was a retired employee of Meadow Gold Dairies in Champaign, IL and attended the St. Johns Lutheran Church in Mattoon, IL

Larry was a member of the National Rifle Association, Son of Confederate Veterans, Society of Single Action Shooters and a founding member of Coles County Regulators all of which he enjoyed ensuring his ancestors true history of their battles in war and life will be told. He was a former Stock Car Racer, a fan of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing and took pleasure in a day of hunting. For Larry, he will always
be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and son-in-law who was always available for others in a time of need. He will truly be missed by his family and many friends.
