Archie Lavon Lambert, 66, of the Cleveland community died Monday, Aug. 3, 2009.

Born July 29, 1943, in Purvis, Miss., Mr. Lambert was a son of the late Clydie Mae Saucier and Archie Peter Lambert. He spent his teenage years in Hastings, Neb., with his father and late stepmother, Mary Lambert.

Mr. Lambert’s career was in electronics technology. He worked at Exide Corp., Mebane Packaging and Flowserv Corp. Mr. Lambert retired after he was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. He was a member of the Single Action Shooting Society and the N.C. Woodworkers Association.

Surviving are his wife, Sue Daughtry Lambert; two daughters, Marilyn Gagliardo of Charlotte and Brenda Bass of Granville County; a son, Robert “Bob” Lambert of Kearney, Neb.; a stepdaughter, Kelly Rains of Miami, Fla.; a stepson, Clayton Rains of Wilmington; three brothers, Randall Lambert of Fenton, Del., Anthony “Tony” Lambert of Trumbull, Neb., and James Seales of Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Allie Hall of DeKalb, Miss., and Tanya Graham of Ellisville, Miss.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
