There’s something about this here Saloon
You can’t always figure it out
Sometimes it looks like the phase of the moon
Has left a few people in doubt

A lunatic here, a big screwball there
They’ve all bellied up to the bar
Some are just young’ns and some got no hair
They come here from near and far

Bankers and lawyers and bakers of pies
Farmers and realtors too
Good looking women with bright shining eyes
An occasional war horse or two

Everyone’s laughing here most every night
That’s the attraction I guess
Get away from your troubles, and keep it all light
Even if the whole world’s a big mess

‘Course it’s not all just jokin and clownin around
Sometimes a ruckus will start
But a smile will break out where there were a few frowns
That’s a sight that’ll warm this ole heart

It’s a real melting pot, this old Saloon here
Maybe that’s why it works so dang well
A slice of America and a cold glass of beer
And the sound of the Liberty Bell
