Michael F. Sinclair, of Tucson, AZ was welcomed home to be with the Lord after a short battle with cancer on May 9th, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Gail; children, Meila Fluno (Danny), Renatta Welsh (Michael),  Grant (Michelle), and Ross (Justine); three grandchildren; siblings, Bill and Susie; and many other extended family members.

Mike served three tours in Vietnam as a highly decorated Captain, US Army 101st Airborne. He was severely wounded losing both legs, one eye, and a thumb but never let his handicaps hold him back. He worked and retired from IBM, hunted and fished as frequently as possible, and loved any sport having to do with shooting.

Mike, aka Ole Deadeye, was an avid competitor in Cowboy Action Shooting since 1983. He became known as “The father of Cowboy Action Shooting” in Arizona as he was instrumental in the formation of many clubs and matches, including Los Vaqueros – Arizona Historical Shootists Association and Railhead, The SASS Southwest Regional Championship in Williams, AZ. He was a SASS Regulator and was inducted into the SASS Hall of Fame in 2006.

Although Mike was a man of few words, he always led by example and was a real hero and mentor to many. He taught his children to follow the Lord, love their families, do what is right, and never give up. His sense of humor and can do attitude will be sorely missed.

A memorial will be held on May 31st, 2008 at Christ Community Church, 7801 E. Kenyon, Tucson, AZ. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to one of the following;
