Linda S. Dunnivan, 69, of Raleigh, died Monday, August 27, 2018, at her home after a long battle with brain cancer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Essie Shifflett, sister, Joyce, brother W.E., in-laws Roy & Eleanor Dunnivan, and sister-in-law Mary Rollins.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest. Casual or Cowboy dress is encouraged. There will be a reception at The Forks Restaurant following the service.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Royce, children: Royce Jr. (Michelle), Rick (Buji), and Jaclyn Lehmuth (Kris); grandchildren: Katie Dunnivan (Jacob), Travis Dunnivan, Brent Laconico, Taylor Dunnivan (Chris), and Josephine Dunnivan, sisters Brenda Wyant (Wade), Janet Andrews, and Darnell Morris (Randy); brother-in-law Bruce Dunnivan (Karen), sisters-in-law Beverley Knighton (Dale), and Robin Clatterbuck (Cary), and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

In addition, she leaves behind a wide circle of friends from her hobby, Cowboy Action Shooting; many whom she loved as brothers and sisters. She was known by her alias “Loco Linda” to her shooting friends. She was proud of her trophy for winning the state championship in her class a few years ago, and even more proud of the trophy for winning “Best Dressed Cowgirl.”
