HARRIS ROBERT (BOB) H. HARRIS Robert H. Harris lost his three year battle with cancer on June 21, 2012. He fought long and hard but went peacefully to heaven when it was time. Bob was born in Dickson, Tennessee on August 6, 1950 to W.H. and Evelyn Harris. He graduated from University of Tennessee Knoxville, majoring in Business Administration. He served as a Captain in the Army and was in the Reserves for many years. He was Vice President of Sales for Electronics Diversified, Inc. for over 20 years when he was forced into medical retirement in 2009. Prior to that, he had worked as a regional sales manager as well as a manufacturer's representative for several other companies. Bob was a man of great integrity; he was a patriot and a gentleman. He dearly loved animals of all kinds and was a volunteer for Jacksonville Humane Society. His sense of humor inspired many, especially while he was fighting for his life. He never complained and almost always had a smile and a positive word to share. He was an inspiration to many people. He was a great teacher of many venues including scuba diving and cowboy action shooting (SASS).

As a member of Christ Episcopal Church, he found a great peace with the Lord. Bob is survived by a devoted wife, Vivian Allen, M.D., a wonderful daughter Amy Lester and her husband Michael, and a loyal brother, P.R. Harris. He leaves many relatives and magnificent friends. Services will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 400 San Juan Drive, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, 32082 at 6:00 p.m. Friday June 29th. Flowers may be sent to the church on the day of services. Donations may be given to one of the following: Jacksonville Humane Society, Christ Episcopal Church, Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, or the SASS scholarship fund.
