Bobby C. Sparks, age 52, of Tuscumbia, Ala., died Monday, June 23, 2008. His family will receive friends from 2-7 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2008, at Morrison Funeral Home, of Tuscumbia. His memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel, with Jerry "Sawyer" McDaniel officiating.

Bobby was a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and was a professional truck driver with Estes Trucking. He was formerly employed with Averitt Trucking for 16 years. He was a retired rodeo clown, an avid New York Yankees fan and Jeff Gordon fan. He was most proud of being a member of Sass and Nar. His cowboy friends knew him as "Bobcat." He was Papaw to Hannah "Munchkin," Jacob and Alley. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Lois B. Goss.

He is survived by his wife and best friends of 29 years, Salina Sparks, of Tuscumbia; parents, John and Maxine Sparks, also of Tuscumbia; sons, Jeremy C. Sparks and wife, Mae, of Sheffield, Jason Sparks, of Tuscumbia; brother, Jimmy C. Sparks and wife, Sharon, of Tuscumbia; three grandchildren, Hannah, Jacob and Alley, of Sheffield; father-in-law, the Rev. Neil Goss, of Alexander City; brothers-in-law, Tim Goss, of Cherokee, and Bill Goss and wife, Patty, of Portland, Ore.; nieces and nephews.
